About Tour de Force

On 1st August 2009 Dominic Chambers, manager of the only national police children's charity Child Victims of Crime, Ronny Carey, Trustee and Matt Ferguson RFU tag rugby man began their epic journey to cycle to every police headquarters throughout England, Scotland & Wales. The support vehicle is driven by CVOC trustee Steve Johnson.

They are cycling to raise awareness of the charity and its valuable work with the added hope of raising significant funds through individual police forces holding fundraising events.

They are stopping off at each Force Headquarters en route for cheque presentations and press coverage.

If you would like further detailed information of the route and would like to join or sponsor them on a particular leg of the journey please contact info@cvoc.org.uk or phone 01785 227325.

The blog is being updated daily by CVOC trustee Trevor Koschalka.

End of Day 7

Another day down and we have left Wales behind and have been to Cheltenham and Kidlington today where we received great receptions at both headquarters from local officers. Once again thanks to all those who came out and greeted and supported us and in particular to Sara Thornton, the Chief Constable of Thames Valley for making a presentation to us and to Martin Bingham and Clare Stratton local officers who escorted us in to Cheltenham and for the presentation at their HQ.
Thanks also to Mick and Mark who were with us yesterday and today through Wales and took on the Gloucestershire leg and have now left us, your efforts were greatly appreciated.
Tomorrow we are off to West Mercia and Warwickshire which Steve tells me is not so many miles - so I can have a lay in until 7am!
