Another day and what a day! Driving rain and a lot of miles, but all worth while.
We had an early start this morning in Exeter and it was great that Ben Cole from Devon and Cornwall Police and also captain of British Police Rugby was able to join us for the day together with Cris Chambers (Iron Man) who does not believe in going at less than 25mph on a bike!
We had our first puncture of the trip with Ben's bike springing a leak and it was Ronny's last day with us, he had to return to Ireland - something about a wife and family and a job!
Anyway, we got there! First stop was Wiltshire Police HQ in Devizes who treated us to a great breakfast which was most welcome and not one but two cheque presentations one from the ACC Patrick Geenty on behalf of Wiltshire Police but one also from the local Rotary Club in Corsham by Mr Spencer thanks very much to one and all.
Anyway after our break we cycled on to the Avon and Somerset HQ near Bristol ( it seems a lot closer when you drive down the M4 from Wiltshire), but we arrive to another fantastic welcome and the end of another day.
So thanks to Ben and Cris for their company today and farewell and thanks to Ronny who has been with us since the start - safe journey back to Ireland and see you soon. Thank you once again to all have supported us on the way so far! Tomorrow a new country the land of the Celts and hopefully less rain.
Good night
