About Tour de Force

On 1st August 2009 Dominic Chambers, manager of the only national police children's charity Child Victims of Crime, Ronny Carey, Trustee and Matt Ferguson RFU tag rugby man began their epic journey to cycle to every police headquarters throughout England, Scotland & Wales. The support vehicle is driven by CVOC trustee Steve Johnson.

They are cycling to raise awareness of the charity and its valuable work with the added hope of raising significant funds through individual police forces holding fundraising events.

They are stopping off at each Force Headquarters en route for cheque presentations and press coverage.

If you would like further detailed information of the route and would like to join or sponsor them on a particular leg of the journey please contact info@cvoc.org.uk or phone 01785 227325.

The blog is being updated daily by CVOC trustee Trevor Koschalka.

End of Day 11 - Chester and Colwyn Bay

Back on the road again and we have had a great day after our rest yesterday. After visiting Cheshire Police HQ where we were met by the Deputy Chief Constable and received another great contribution to the coffers. I came off the 'Tour' for a couple of hours to attend a scheduled hospital appointment in Stafford. That out of the way I was able to join the boys on the run into North Wales Police HQ in Colwyn Bay where we received a welcome from the Chief Constable.
Having made great time we decided to press on towards our next goal which is Merseyside Police HQ in Liverpool, so as you read this we have gone through the Mersey Tunnel and are in Liverpool and will be able to have a bit of a lie in in the morning before going to the police headquarters.
We have been joined today by some more fantastic riders Colin Tanner and Dave Heaney in Stafford and then in Chester by Dave Clark and Mark Fletcher - once again we thank you for your support of the 'Tour'.
Tomorrow we will be in Liverpool and Manchester - off for a rest now!
